You can also use your headset with a PC, Mac or portable media player.

2. Charge your headset

With your PS4™ system on*, connect your headset using 
the supplied USB cable. Your headset might need up to 
3.5 hours to charge fully. 

*You can also charge your headset when your PS4™ system is in rest mode.

 

Use one of the USB ports on your PS4™ system.

3. Insert the wireless adaptor

Slide the power/audio mode switch to position “1” or “2”.

4. Turn on your headset

Press the power button.

1. Press and hold the PS button on your 

DUALSHOCK

4 wireless controller.

2. Select [Sound/Devices] > [Output to Headphones].
3. Select [All Audio].

5. Download and install the Headset Companion 

app from PlayStation

®

Store*. 

6. Open the Headset Companion app and update 

your headset.

Select one of the preset modes, which have been specially 
designed to deliver an optimal audio experience. You can 
also create your own audio mode.

Experience rich, highly positional virtual surround sound 
powered by a new 3D audio technology from Playstation

3D Audio:

In supported games for the PS4™ system, 3D audio delivers 
an amazingly rich audio experience via object-based

above and below you, across 100 virtual speakers.

VSS/3D AUDIO switch controls the 
audio format output desired by
the player.

SOUND/CHAT buttons

Adjust the chat voice
volume in relation
to the game sound.

Power/audio mode switch

Sets the audio mode or turns off the headset.

Both audio modes are customizable and 
can be replaced with other modes from 
the Headset Companion app.

MUTE button / Sidetone

The MUTE button controls the microphone and the 
sidetone feature. Sidetone allows you to hear your 
own voice from the headset.
When MUTE is on, the sidetone feature is turned off.
• Short press to mute or unmute the microphone.
• Long press to choose the sidetone volume (low, high, off).
