Creating a user profile to control multiple CLIÉ handhelds
If your company distributes multiple CLIÉ handhelds to its employees, for example, you can create a user
profile (such as a company phone list) to load the data into several CLIÉ handhelds without associating that
data with a user name.
This feature is designed only for the first HotSync
®
operation (before you assign a User ID to a particular
CLIÉ handheld).

Creating a profile
To create a profile, proceed as follows:

Start the Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ software.

Select
Users
from the
Tools
menu.
The
Users
dialog box appears. If no user profile is created, the
New Profile
dialog box is displayed; skip
to step 4.

Click
Profiles
.
The
Profiles
dialog box appears.

Click
New
.
The
New User
dialog box appears.

Enter a user name and then click
OK
.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each profile you want to create.

Click
OK.

Select profiles from the User list, and create data for the profile (for example, company phone list).
