Features
The Personal Entertainment Organizer (hereafter “CLIE handheld”)
functions as a personal digital organizer with features such as Date Book,
Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad. In addition to these functions,
the CLIE handheld also works as an information terminal, with an excellent
extended ability to connect to other devices such as personal computers.
The major features of the CLIE handheld are as follows:
Using the Memory Stick media
You can easily exchange data between the Memory Stick media and
Memory Stick compatible devices, such as computers using the “Memory
Stick Gate” application (see “Using Memory Stick media” on page 138).
You can also run the applications on the Memory Stick media
automatically using the “Memory Stick Autorun” application (see
“Launching an Application Automatically from the Memory Stick
(Memory Stick Autorun)” on page 153).
Using as a personal digital organizer
You can use your CLIE handheld as a personal digital organizer using the
following Personal Information Manager (PIM).
Using the Date Book
The Date Book lets you schedule appointments or activities associated with
a date, or date and time (see “Managing Schedules and Events (Date
Book)” on page 51).
Using the Address Book
The Address Book lets you keep personal information such as names,
addresses, telephone numbers, etc (see “Managing Addresses and Phone
Numbers (Address Book)” on page 73).
Using the To Do List
The To Do List lets you display a list of things to do as well as to prioritize
them (see “Managing Tasks and Things to Do (To Do List)” on page 94).
Using the Memo Pad
The Memo Pad lets you take notes or display the contents of text files (see
“Using the Memo Pad” on page 107).
