On-screen display (OSD)
Your Vivitron 700 monitor is equipped with a feature
called On-Screen Display (OSD). OSD allows you to
see the function adjustment you are currently using.
When you press any of the user adjustment buttons
(refer to the “Screen controls and functions” section of
this manual), the OSD is automatically activated and
displays a corresponding window for two seconds in
the middle of the lower half of the screen. On your
screen, each OSD appears as white text on a blue
background.
Following are brief descriptions and an illustration of
each display.
Brightness
This function adjusts the black level of the screen (in-
creases or decreases how bright the display is).
Bar showing increase or decrease
of adjustment. The results of your
changes are visible not only on the
OSD
,
but also on the display itself.
Changes are automatically saved
to memory and you do not need to
turn your monitor off and then on
again.
Range scale. This number corre-
sponds to the percentage of your
adjustment (either increased or
decreased). The range is from 0
to 100.
Input signal scanning
frequency information;
displays only for brightness
and contrast functions.
