Uploading images to a
media service
The application “PMB Portable” is pre-
loaded in this camcorder.
You can use the “PMB Portable” to do the
following:
You can easily upload images to a blog or other
media service.
You can upload images from a computer
connected to the Internet even when you are
away from home or the office.
You can easily register the media services (such
as blogs) you use frequently.
You can see the detailed usage when you
click the help button in the upper right after
starting “PMB Portable”.
Starting up “PMB Portable”
Turn on your camcorder, then
connect it to a computer with the
Built-in USB cable.
The [USB SELECT] screen appears on
the LCD of your camcorder.
Touch to select the recording
media for which you wish to use
“PMB Portable.”
[ USB CONNECT]: Internal
memory (DCR-SX65/SX85)
[ USB CONNECT]: Memory card
If the [USB SELECT] screen does not
appear, touch
(MENU)
[Show
others]
[USB CONNECT] (under
[OTHERS] category).
Click “PMB Portable”.
The User Agreement screen appears.
Select the desired language, then
click [OK].
The Region Selection screen appears.
Select the appropriate [Region]
and [Country/Area], and then
click [OK].
The User Agreement screen appears.
Read the agreement carefully.
If you accept the terms of the
agreement, click [I Agree].
“PMB Portable” starts up.
Notes
Always connect to a network when uploading
images using “PMB Portable”.
If [PMB Portable] is not displayed within
the AutoPlay Wizard, click [Computer]
[PMBPORTABLE], then double-click
[PMBP_Win.exe].
If a bug occurs in “PMB Portable,” or you delete
“PMB Portable” by mistake, you can correct
this by downloading the PMB Portable installer
from the web site.
Notes on “PMB Portable”
“PMB Portable” makes it possible to
download various URLs of websites from
the server administered by Sony (“Sony
server”).
In order to use “PMB Portable” to enjoy the
benefits of the image uploading service, or
other services provided by these and other
websites, you must consent to the following.
Some websites require registration procedures
and/or fees to use their services. In using such
services, you must comply with the terms
and conditions established by the websites
concerned.
