Fourth Generation DVD
The fourth generation DVD players consist of models DVP-S350, DVP-
S560, DVP-S560, DVP-S570.
Symptom 6: Tray does not Eject. Displays :”LOCKED”.
Cause: Nothing wrong with the unit. Tray is locked out in the display unit.
Use a SONY DVD remote to lock or unlock the tray.
Repair Procedure
Lock and unlock are the same procedures. Each time the code is en-
tered, the unit alternates between lock and unlock.
Lock
1. Press the front panel power switch and wait two seconds for the unit
to enter standby (red light). With the unit in standby (red light), press
the following five buttons on the remote in this order:

Angle Change,
•
Sub-Title Change,
•
9,
•
Power.
2. The unit will come on. The tray will respond to the eject button. How-
ever, once a disc is detected, the tray will no longer respond to the
eject button. The display will show LOCKED each time the eject but-
ton is pressed.
Unlock
1. With the unit in standby (red light), press the following five buttons on
the remote in this order:

1,
•
Angle Change,
•
Sub-Title Change,
•
9,
•
Power.
2. The locked display will no longer appear and the tray open button will
work normally.
