Calling the HD RECORDING SERVER / Recording during Lecture Mode
H.323 aliases, and 7001, 7002, 7003, 7004, and 7005 are configured for the
E.164 numbers.
When performing user registration on the HD VISUAL COMMUNICATION
SERVER, pair recording1 and 7001 to register the first user as follows.
• Set the user type to “H.323.”
• Set any name for the login name (“recording1” in this example).
• Set the password to “PASSWORD.”
• Set the H.323 alias to “recording1.”
• Set the E.164 number to “7001.”
Register the remaining H.323 alias and E.164 number pairs for a total of 5
registered users for the server.
The maximum bandwidth configured during user registration must match that
configured on the HD RECORDING SERVER.
Calling the HD RECORDING SERVER
The HD RECORDING SERVER operates as a gateway that allows multiple
connections.
However, the HD VISUAL COMMUNICATION SEVER does not allow
connections to a single terminal using identical names (identical H.323 aliases,
E.164 numbers, and IP addresses).
As a result, the HD RECORDING SERVER cannot be called multiple times
by its H.323 alias, E.164 number, or IP address.
Recording during Lecture Mode
The HD VISUAL COMMUNICATION SERVER includes a Lecture mode in
its meeting settings.
In this mode, images of the audience appear on the lecturer’s display in multi-
screen layout, while an image of the lecturer appears on the audience display.
When you record meetings in this mode with the HD RECORDING SERVER,
the image that appears on the audience display (i.e., the image of the lecturer
only) will be recorded. The images that appear on the lecturer’s display (i.e.,
the multi-screen image of the audience) cannot be recorded.
