Overview
The MKS-2050 and MKS-8050 are dedicated video
editing keyboards designed for use with the BZS-8050
Editing Control Software. The keyboards can be connected
to an MVS-8000/DVS-9000 switcher system or MFS-2000
system on which the BZS-8050 is installed.
Common features of the MKS-2050/8050
The MKS-2050 and MKS-8050 (subsequently jointly
referred to as “the keyboard”) feature optimized key layout
based on the function assignment and frequency of use of
each control. This ensures speedy and precise operation.
The integrated search dial allows variable-speed playback
in jog/shuttle/variable mode for a selected VTR or disc
recorder. The non-contact type capacitive key switches
boast excellent touch characteristics and high reliability.
The full-width wrist rest also contributes to a pleasant
operation feel.
Individual features of the MKS-2050/8050
The MKS-2050 is a 19-inch rack size keyboard with the
search dial positioned in the center, surrounded by key
blocks arranged by function category. The MKS-8050 is a
full-keyboard type with more direct-function keys than the
MKS-2050. The layout of the character keys for text input
is similar to a regular keyboard.
When used to control the functions of the BZS-8050
Editing Control Software, both keyboards result in exactly
the same operation.
