SECTION 3 - UPDATES AND ADJUSTMENTS

REFURBISHING THE NETWORK MEDIA PLAYER

Regardless of why the Network Media Player is being serviced, the following 

steps must be completed 
Required Steps:

Update the Software

 

;

Re-initialize the Network Media Player to Factory Mode 

 

;

Complete Basic Tests 

 

;

Reset the Remote Commander

A small thin, sharp object, such as the point of a pen or a small screw driver, 

is required to push in the 

Connect

 button on the Network Media Player to 

display the service menu.
Required Equipment:

 

;

TV to display the Network Media Player menus

 

;

USB memory drive formatted in FAT32

 

;

USB keyboard - Required to select the service menu options.

 

;

HDMI cable

UPDATING THE SOFTWARE

The latest software version must be installed when a Network Media Player 

is in for service.

1.  Download the latest software update onto the USB memory drive.
2.  Insert the USB memory drive with the software update into the 

USB input slot on the back of the Network Media Player.

3.  Connect the USB keyboard to the other USB input slot. 

4.  Disconnect the AC Power Cord from the Network Media Player.
5.  Connect the Network Media Player to the TV using the HDMI cable 

between the HDMI Out and HDMI In ports respectively.

6.  Proceed to

 Installing the Software

.

INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE

1.  Power on the Network Media Player by plugging it into an AC 

power source (typical residential AC power source only) and allow 

the Network Media Player to boot completely until the 

Home

 menu 

displays.

2.  Using a thin, sharp object, such as the point of a pen or small 

screw driver, press and hold the 

Connect

 button (located on the 

bottom of the Network Media Player) down for 10 seconds.

3.  Release the 

Connect

 button.

 

Wait 10 to 15 seconds until the 

Android System Recovery

 screen 

displays.

Use arrow keys to highlight, enter to select.

Reboot system now [CTRL+R]

Factory reset and keep Remot Control paired [CTRL+W]

Factory reset and un-pair Remote Control
