Connecting to the Internet by communicating
with the Bluetooth compatible mobile phone
You can enjoy browsing various homepages or sending/receiving e-mail using
your CLIÉ handheld, via a Bluetooth compatible mobile phone.
Connecting
When you access the Internet via a Bluetooth-compatible mobile phone, you
need to follow this procedure to bond the device with your CLIÉ handheld.

Tip
What is “bonding”?
To enable Bluetooth communication between this Bluetooth Module and another
Bluetooth compatible device, the device must be identified. This process is referred
to as “bonding,” which is necessary to prevent access from unauthorized Bluetooth
compatible devices. A common Passkey is used to bond the device to this Bluetooth
Module.

Setting the connection method/Performing bonding
You need to set the communication method and perform bonding for
Bluetooth communications.

Rotate the Jog Dial™ navigator to select the Prefs icon and
press the Jog Dial™ navigator.
The
Preferences
screen is displayed.
Tip
You can also tap the
Prefs
icon to display the
Preferences
screen.

Tap the arrow
V
in the top right-hand corner of the screen,
and select Connection.
The list of
Available
Connections
appears.
