You can connect a device (such as a computer,
smartphone, or tablet, collectively referred to as
“device”) to the camcorder over a wireless LAN
connection by attaching an optional IFU-WLM3
USB Wireless LAN Module.
The following operations are supported between
the camcorder and devices connected by wireless
LAN using the IFU-WLM3.
• Using the Web menu
• Transferring planning metadata between the
camcorder and a device
• Camcorder remote operation using a device
Open the cover of the external device connector,
then connect the IFU-WLM3.
Notes
• The IFU-WLM3 (sold separately) may not be available
in some countries/regions.
• Attach/remove the IFU-WLM3 after the camcorder is
turned off.
• The CBK-WA101 Wireless Adapter cannot be used
when using an IFU-WLM3.
• An i.LINK connection and USB wireless LAN module
cannot be used at the same time.
When using a wireless connection with an IFU-WLM3
inserted directly into the external device connector, do
not connect a device to the i.LINK connector.
• If you use other wireless devices near the camcorder,
the camcorder may not work correctly. Turn any
wireless devices off that are near the camcorder.
To connect by wireless LAN using the IFU-
WLM3, two types of wireless LAN connections
are available. In “ad-hoc mode”, you can make a
peer-to-peer Wi-Fi connection between a device
and a camcorder. In “infrastructure mode”, you
can make Wi-Fi connections between a device
and multiple camcorders via a wireless LAN
access point (building a LAN).
To configure network settings
Change settings under “MAINTENANCE” >
“Network Setting” in the setup menu as required.
a) The IP address determined by DHCP server is
