Recording the Pan/Tilt/
Zoom Operation of a
Camera (Trace Function)
This function records the pan/tilt/zoom
operation of a camera in order to reproduce
(trace) those actions later as required.
The BRC-X1000 and BRC-H800 cameras with
firmware version 2.0 or later support this
function.
Up to 16 patterns can be recorded.
Note
This function is not supported for the ILME-FR7.
Recording the pan/tilt/zoom
operation

Press the ACTIVE button, turning it on
(button is lit), on the joystick control block
and preset memory control block.

Select the camera whose status you want
to store.
For details about selecting a camera, see
“Selecting a Camera” (page 34).
Note
If “PRST:MODE1” or “PRST:MODE2” is
displayed at the bottom of the LCD panel,
press an assign button to change the preset
mode to TRACE.
Each time you press an assign button, the
preset mode switches between MODE1,
MODE2, and TRACE. TRACE is selected when
“PRST:TRACE” is displayed on the LCD panel.

Check that the DIRECT RECALL button is
off.
If the button is on (button lit yellow), turn it
off (button not lit).

Enter the preset number you want to store.
Use the PRESET 10/0 button to enter a “0”
digit.
The maximum number that can be saved
varies depending on the camera.
The preset number is displayed at the
bottom right on the LCD panel of the menu
control block.

Press and hold the STORE button.
Recording of each operation starts.
REC is displayed highlighted to the right of
PRST:TRACE at the bottom of the LCD panel
during recording.

Perform the pan/tilt/zoom operations you
want to record.

To stop recording, press the button on the
top of the joystick. Alternatively, re-enter
the preset number entered in step 5, and
press and hold the STORE button.
The REC indicator disappears.
Starting playback of a recorded
trace
Use one of the following methods to start
playback of a recorded trace.
Direct recall
With the DIRECT RECALL button on (button is lit
yellow), you press the PRESET 1 to PRESET 10/0
button in which the operations were recorded to
start playback of the trace. Only preset numbers
1 to 10 can be recalled using direct recall.

TRACE.
