• Harness unseated
• SWC board fault

The unit stops automatically. Contact a
Sony service representative.

RS232 COMM ERROR

• Cable fault
• Communications protocol setting

Power the unit off and contact a Sony
service representative.

RS232 DEVICE ERROR

SIO device fault

The unit stops automatically. Contact a

• VTR RS-422 port fault

The unit stops automatically. Contact a
Sony service representative.

When an error occurs in this unit, “Error” appears in
the LCD display window. In this case, press the

button to display the error code and message.

Pressing the CLR button in the keypad may recover
from the error state.
Following is a list of error messages that may appear.
