Aspect Ratio
The Aspect Ratio setting refers to the proportion of your TV screen. Some
high definition monitors may offer the wide (16:9) aspect ratio which is
similar to the proportions of a movie screen. Many TVs and digital
monitors have a standard (4:3) aspect ratio screen.
1
Highlight and select “Aspect Ratio” from the TV
Properties display (see page 61).
The Aspect Ratio pop-up appears.
2

CAUTION
When viewing letterbox or
windowbox content on your TV or
digital monitor, keep the brightness
and contrast functions at low
settings. If a fixed pattern (for
example, a letterbox pattern) is left
on the screen for long periods of
time at a high brightness or contrast
setting, the pattern can be
permanently imprinted on the
screen.
