Compatibility with AIT Drive
Tapes recorded by the SIR-1000W can be read out directly by a computer data backup AIT
drive, making data transfer to computers convenient and efficient.
SCSI Interface
•
During recording or playback, the high-speed SCSI board (option) allows digital data
to be transferred to a computer in real-time.
•
The SDX emulation board (option) permits the SIR-1000 to be used as an SDX drive
using PCscanIII (option).
Diverse Control Functions
The SIR-1000W can be controlled locally (front panel), by a dedicated remote control unit
SRM-10, by external ON/OFF contacts, and from a host computer.
3-way Power Supply System
The SIR-1000W can run on AC 100/120 V (allowable range 90 to 132 V) or AC 220/240 V
(allowable range 198 to 250 V), or on DC 12 V (allowable range 11 to 30 V) supplied
externally. Further, a dedicated lithium ion battery pack can be mounted on the left side
of the recorder for outdoor use. This battery pack is charged while mounted on the
recorder.
If the AC source is cut off, the external DC or battery pack provides uninterrupted backup.
If the external DC source is cut off, the battery pack provides uninterrupted backup.
The order of priority for the power supply is
1
AC,
2
external DC, and
3
battery pack.
Easy Operation
Measurement instruments in the field must be easy to use and must provide an easy to read
display. The SIR-1000W has a man-machine interface designed from the user’s standpoint:
•
Central display screen featuring a backlit, high-contrast LCD panel.
•
Direct access to all functions by dedicated keys.
Compact and Light Mass
Dimensions of 340 (W)
×
115 (H)
×
260 (D) mm (SIR-1000W only, without projections),
and a mass of approximately 7.7 kg (SIR-1000W only) make the SIR-1000W the most
compact and portable recorder in its class.
Low Power Consumption
The SIR-1000W has a low power consumption design, with 1.6 A at AC 100 V, and 7 A
at DC 12 V (SIR-1000W only).
