Synchronous Playback
1
Settings prior to playback
Insert the tapes to be Played Back in the Recorders.
2
Starting playback
To start synchronous playback, press the FWD key of the master. The FWD key LED
and the SYN LED of the master blink. At the same time, the master controls the slave
to search data of the same position on the tape. When data of the same position from
both tape on the master and the slave are read, tape transport of each recorder starts to
playback data. The FWD key LED and the SYN LED of the master light during
synchronous playback.
During synchronous playback, multi-channel data with the same sampling time are
simultaneously output from both the master and the slave, enabling crystal precision
synchronization.
In addition, the data on tapes synchronously recorded using the data transfer software
PCscanIII can be transferred to a computer, allowing data with the same sampling time
to be monitored and analyzed.
Note
•
If the channel mode and analog digital mode settings are different for the master and
slave, a certain time difference may arise between their playback outputs according
to the difference in the processing time inside each recorder.
•
In order to guarantee synchronous accuracy from the stop position, data stored inside
the buffer during playback will be eliminated when the STOP or PAUSE is excuted
during synchronous playback operation. Accordingly, address will be advanced
about 20 seconds.
•
If tape running mode differs between master unit and slave unit, master unit cannot
accept all keys other than STOP key.
•
Synchronous playback is possible only for the same “record” on both the master and
the slave, i.e. it is impossible to playback data in synchronous mode over different
“records”. (Refer to “2-1 Tape Format”)
•
When the “
×
” mark appears either master or slave, the synchronous playback is lost,
then start synchronous playback again after searching the vicinity of lost section
automatically.
•
At the joint of a record, the slave stops playback taking in account of the tape recorded
other way than by synchronous recording, yet the master keeps playing back,
therefore the slave unit shows EX32 error.
