ANN/P-SV key
•
Each time this key is pressed, the playback signal source for the speakers or earphone
jack switches between the recorded voice annotations and the analog data signal.
While the ANN LED lights, the voice annotation recorded into the voice channel is
output from the speakers or earphone jack.
While the DATA LED lights, the data signal of the monitored analog channel is
output as sound from the speakers or earphone jack.
•
When the ANN/P-SV key is pressed after pressing the SHIFT key, the P-SV (power-
save) mode results and the LED to the upper right of the key lights.
During recording, the analog playback circuitry and LCD panel backlight turn off to
save power consumption.
•
When this key is pressed for more than three seconds after pressing the SHIFT key,
the recorder enters into the fan-control mode. This mode allows the ventilation fans
to be stopped during the REC mode as long as the internal temperatures of the SIR-
1000W and SCX-16W are low, making it convenient for recording sound level and
other applications where silence is required. In the fan-control mode, the LED to the
upper right of the ANN/P-SV key blinks and rectangular mark appears at the right
edge of the tape position display area on the LCD screen.
To exit the fan-control mode, press the SHIFT key and then press this key for three
seconds or more. Refer to 4-7 for more detail about the fan-control mode.
!
CAUTION
When SIR-1000W exits the power save (or fan-control) mode, noise (less than 1 ms)
may occur in the SIR-1000W, and it may be recorded on the tape.
It is possible to avoid above trouble by switching (on/off) the power save mode in
STOP mode. And it is possible to avoid above trouble by stopping the recording
before SIR-1000W exits the fan-control mode automatically.
