[Audio System Test]
• This mode is activated when
[TIME]
key is pressed in the Test
Mode Idle status.
1. Operation by key input
• In the Audio System Test mode, the base unit always moni-
tors the key inputs, and generates a key touch tone and goes
in the following statuses according to each key pressed.

• 7-SEG LED all turn off, and the condition of audio system in the
base unit is kept as it is, then a command is sent to the DSP and
recording continues until
[MEMO]
key is pressed again. Old mes-
sage is erased each time a new message is recorded, where a
garbage correction is made and new message is recorded at the
first place.
• DTMF, sound, and busy tone are detected.
When DTMF detected:
Dial number is displayed on 7-SEG
LED (“ ” is displayed as “A”, and
“#” as “C”)
When sound detected:
CHARGE LED ON
When busy tone detected: ANSWER LED ON
[PLA Y/ST OP]

• The condition of audio system in the base unit is kept as it is, and
recorded data are played. Playing quits and the Audio System
Test Idle status is resumed when there is no longer recorded data,
playing is finished, or
[PLA Y/ST OP]
key is pressed again.
[ERASE]
key
• Test Mode Idle status is resumed.
• The Audio System Test mode quits, and the Test Mode Idle sta-
tus is resumed.
[Key • LED • Terminating Test]
• This mode is activated when
[SET/REC]
key is pressed in the
Test Mode Idle status.

If the keys are pressed in the above sequence, the base unit gener-
ates a key touch tone, and when the input of all keys completed
successfully, it generates a completion tone and returns to the Test
Mode Idle status. In case of wrong key input sequence, it gener-
ates an error tone, and returns to the Test Mode Idle status.

Terminating test
The ANSWER LED turns on when the terminating call detection
port is in “High” status during the key • LED • terminating test.
