Internet Music Services
The STR-DA5500ES network features include access to Rhapsody® and
SHOUTcast™ internet music services. Rhapsody is a network music service that searches by artist
and title or browse by genre so you can listen to whatever you want — without paying per track
through a monthly subscription (sold separately). SHOUTcast is a free internet radio service which
allows access to thousands of stations from around the world. Both are accessible on your television
via the xross media bar™ inspired GUI without the need of a PC.
“Quick Click” On-Screen Remote
On-screen learning remote control that simplifies the operation
of various sources and displays using only five buttons (four arrows and one bulls-eye) on the
physical remote control. Plus, the “Quick Click” On-Screen Remote Control is also available in a
second room.
Ethernet Connectivity
Provides access to a personal network for access to a networked PC or
entertainment services (i.e. SHOUTcast™ and Rhapsody®) plus allows Sony to provide first-class
service via future upgrades.
Front HDMI Input
Conveniently located on the front bezel to easily connect HD
camera/camcorder, game system or other HDMI equipped device.
2 HDMI Outputs
Two HDMI outputs which can toggle 1080p content between two other HD displays,
such as two BRAVIA® LCD TVs or a BRAVIA LCD TV and a front projector or drive a signal to both
displays at the same time.
