Auto Channel Grouping
Enjoy DVD movies that have the 5.1/6.1 audio converted to 7.1 channels. When a 5.1 channel mix is
present, auto channel grouping will route the discrete information for surround left/right directly to surround left/right outputs
while adding a new
surround back left/right channel. When 6.1 channel mix is detected, auto channel grouping will route the discrete information for
surround left/right directly to surround left/right output while the 6th channel is duplicated by both surround back channels
(left/right).
Dolby® Pro Logic® II Decoding
Creating surround sound requires only a stereo source. Listening to the radio, a CD, or an old
VCR tape in full surround sound. Anything stereo can be converted to digital signal and distributed to your front, surround,
subwoofer, and center speakers.
Component Video Pass-Through
In order to benefit from a progressive or satellite signal, you must use the component video
inputs and outputs. This utilizes 3 cables (red, green and blue) to assure proper color separation while more information passes to
the display source. Passing these signals through your receiver enables the user to simply switch the “function” on their receiver,
and not worry about changing any settings on the TV.
