Removing a Compact Flash Card
Follow the steps below to remove the Compact Flash Card while your computer is on. If it is not removed properly, your system may
not work properly. If you want to remove a Compact Flash Card when your computer is off, just take out the Compact Flash Card from
the slot.
To remove a Compact Flash Card, proceed as follows:

Double-click the
Safely Remove Hardware
icon in the system tray.
The
Safely Remove Hardware
dialog box appears.

Select the hardware you want to unplug.

Click
Stop
.

In the
Stop a Hardware Device
dialog box, confirm that the device can be safely removed from the system.

Click
OK
.
A dialog box appears, explaining that it is safe to remove the device.

Click
OK
.

Click
Close
.

Take out the Compact Flash Card from the slot.

If you remove the Compact Flash Card from the computer when it is still turned on,
your system may crash and you may lose any unsaved data.
!
Before you remove the Compact Flash Card, click the Compact Flash Card icon on the
taskbar and close the card. Close any applications that use the Compact Flash Card
before removing the card. Otherwise, data may be lost.
