Why does the LCD brightness change automatically?
The LCD brightness of your computer screen changes automatically according to ambient light intensity that is measured by
the ambient light sensor. To disable the automatic brightness settings, follow these steps:

Automatic Brightness Settings
.

Click to cancel the
Adjust brightness automatically
check box.

OK

Why does the LCD brightness fluctuate when I change it or place my computer back into
Normal mode from Sleep mode?
This may occur on models with the LED backlight when the LCD colors are calibrated and does not indicate a malfunction.
What should I do if the external display remains blank?
