About the “Memory
Stick”
What is a “Memory Stick”?
A “Memory Stick” is a compact, portable and
versatile Integrated Circuit recording medium with a
data storage capacity that exceeds that of a floppy
disk. A “Memory Stick” is specially designed for
exchanging and sharing digital data among “Memory
Stick” compatible products. Because it is removable,
the “Memory Stick “ can also be used for external
data storage.
“Memory Stick” media are available in two sizes: a
standard size and a compact “Memory Stick Duo”
size. Once attached to a Memory Stick Duo adapter,
the “Memory Stick Duo” is physically the same size
as a standard “Memory Stick” and thus can be used
with products compliant with the standard “Memory
Stick .”
