Remote Search/Browse/File Exchange System
The XDCAM Archive system can be accessed from different
office buildings and home offices via a LAN and internet VPN,
respectively. This web-based application simplifies software
installation to each user terminal. Searching and browsing
operations are facilitated by the XDCAM Archive lightweight
streaming proxy. In addition, the storyboarding function
allows users to remotely download partial content.

A Variety of Applications
The XDCAM Archive system gives users benefits beyond providing offline archive solutions using XDCAM discs.
Format Bridge to XDCAM MXF
This system can ingest a variety of video content including
XDCAM EX, NXCAM formats, and third party formats and
codecs such as P2*

, ProRes*

, and DNxHD*

. All of the
above video content can be converted to XDCAM MXF file
(MPEG HD422, MPEG IMX, and DVCAM™). Video tape
materials can be digitized to XDCAM MXF via the HD/SD-SDI
interface as well. By standardizing on the XDCAM MXF
format, content is easily retrieved and available for instant
playback using XDCAM devices.
