VPR-129A Board (XKS-8460)
The VPR-129A board has the following functions.
• This board converts the format of input video signals from SDI_IN to the specified format with the same frame
rate and outputs them to SDI_OUT by using the video process. This board expands the input video signals in the
DDR memory and performs format conversion.
• SDI_IN supports 20 channels and SDI_OUT supports 20 channels.
Function of the FPGA (IC1)
Input of the SDI signal
This FPGA converts 20-channel SDI signals that are input from CNP1, CNL1, and CNE1 to parallel signals, and then
expands them in the DDR memory on the VPR-129A board or sends them to the video processor.
SDI output
This FPGA converts format-converted or video-processed signals to a serial signal, and then outputs the serial signal
from CNP1, CNL1, and CNE1 as SDI signal for up to 20 channels.
DDR control
The DDR memory is used for video signal format conversion. The DDR memory consists of four 4GB_DIMM devices.
Local_Bus communication
This FPGA performs communication of command and status information with the upper CPU through the Local_Bus.
Function of the CADEC (IC2)
Configuration of the FPGA
When the board is turned on, this CADEC configures the FPGA (IC1) by using the configuration data stored in the
FLASH_ROM (IC1902) and makes initial settings.
Flash memory access management
This CADEC controls accesses to the flash memory for FPGA configuration data (such as rewriting from the local bus).
Status/beacon/power LED control
Monitoring board power status
Control of clock generator
This CADEC controls the Clock_Cleaner (IC2004, IC2005).
