SUPREME MIL CC-4/AUX-4 NECKBAND
Use and fit (Fig.E2)
Supreme MIL CC-4 is designed to be worn in behind-the-head mode. Brush excess hair back and out from
beneath the cushions with your hand as much as possible. With the neckband behind the head, place the
ear cups so as to completely enclose the ears. Be certain that the cushions seal tightly against the head
with no interference from objects such as respirator headbands or spectacle frame, in order to obtain
the best performance. Adjust the net over the head so the hearing protector do not fall off. This safety
requirement is satisfied for the sizes:

Note! Do not pull the net to tight because it will affect the cushions seal, the net shall only hold the hearing
protector on place, not pull the hearing protector upwards.
SUPREME MIL CC-2/AUX-2 HELMET MOUNTED
Use and fit (Fig.G)
To attach the helmet mounted version on an ARC rail, slide the backplate with dovetail into the rail on
the helmet. This could be done from both ends. Center the backplate in the rail to cover the ears for best
comfort and performance (Fig.G1). To adjust the height, loosen the rear and front locking nuts on both
left and right cup. Tighten the locking nuts again on left and right side , after adjusting it in correct height
position (Fig.G2).

Amplification
At the two highest volume stages the hearing protectors amplifies the ambient sound.
Battery warning
A tone will be heard when about 40 hours battery life remains. The battery warning will be heard after 10
seconds in connection with starting up the electronics.
Connection
The Supreme MIL CC models have a fixed downlead and adapter for connecting an external acoustic
source, e.g. communication radio, hunting radio or mobile phone. The Supreme MIL AUX models can be
connected to an external acoustic resource with an 3.5 mm audio cable (can be ordered as an accessory,
part number 60121-R). Refer to the operating instructions for the external audio equipment to ensure
that it is correctly connected. The impedance of the product is 32 Ohms. The circuit must not be subjected
to a signal greater than 5 volts to prevent permanent damage. If the audio signal level does not exceed:
137 mVrms (rms =root mean square of signal strength), the sound pressure level inside the hearing
protector will not exceed 82 dB(A). Note! See Table 5 for more detailed information.
Boom Microphone (Fig.H) (Supreme MIL CC models only)
The hearing protector is equipped with an adjustable electret microphone. The microphone is
noise compensating, which ensures very good voice perception even in noisy environments. Note! It
is important that the head of the microphone is positioned close to your mouth, about 2-5 mm from
your lips, in order for noise compensation to work well. To prevent interference from wind noise we
recommend that the accompanying windshield is used.
