3.4.2 Knee truss pads with resting brackets
Before the first use of the standing aid, the knee truss pads must have been adjusted as
far as possible to the individual measurements of the child / adolescent. If the user stands in
the standing aid, only fine adjustments may be made.
We recommend adjusting the width of the knee truss pads to the user's level before the first
use.
(3)
Loosen the clamping lever
(C)
on both sides and remove the knee pads.
Adjust pad width:
• (2)
The brackets
(A)
of the knee truss
pad can be bent.
• Press the brackets
(A)
apart on both
nuts
(B)
to the desired dimension or
together.
•
Then test the fit of the knee truss pads
with the user.
Only press the stirrups together when
the pad is "empty". Conversely, do not allow
the user's knee to squeeze into a too tight
truss pad to widen it.
(2)
To change the opening angle:
• Loosen both nuts
(B)
of the truss pad
on the inside and outside,
• Bring the brackets
(A)
to the desired
angle
• and tighten all nuts
(B)
again.
•
Test the fit of the knee truss pads on the
user.
• Then mount the knee truss pads back to
the Boogie Fix or Boogie Swing.
