Immediately prepare your mower for storage at the end of the season or if the unit will not be used for
30 days or more.
NOTE:
If the gasoline in your engine deteriorates during storage, you may need to have the carbure-
tor, and other fuel system components, serviced or replaced. Commonly available fuel additives which
reduce varnish and gum in your engine’s fuel system can be added according to the manufacturer’s
instructions. See
Engine Owner’s Manual
for more information.

MOWER
When mower is to be stored for a period of time, clean it thoroughly, remove all dirt, grease, leaves,
etc. Store in a clean, dry area.

2. Follow
Lubrication
instructions in the
Maintenance
section of this manual.
3. Be sure that all nuts, bolts, screws, and pins are securely fastened. Inspect moving parts
for damage, breakage and wear. Replace if necessary.
4. Touch up all rusted or chipped paint surfaces; sand lightly before painting.
5. Coat the cutting blade with a chassis grease to prevent rusting.
