Using SOYO G1681 ATA
Answering Calls
No matter if you receive a call from IP or PSTN, the phone connected to the
AG1681 TEL port will ring. Answer the call by picking up the handset of the
phone connected to the ATA.
Making Calls When Dual Mode is Set to “disable”
In this mode, all calls will be sent through VoIP network. Refer to page 12 for
detail.
Lift the handset or press the hand-free speaker button of your phone, and enter
the phone number to make the call.
Making Calls When Dual Mode is Set to “ip first”
To make a call using VoIP network, simply pick up the handset and enter the
number.
To make a call using PSTN network, dial the
dual mode prefix
and listen for a
second dial tone, and then enter the number to call out using your local
telephone service. Refer to page 12 for detail.
Making Calls When Dual Mode is Set to “pstn first”
To make a call using your local PSTN network, simply pick up the handset and
enter the number.
To make a call using VoIP network, press the “flash” button (or hit the hook
switch of the phone once) to listen for a second dial tone, and then enter the
number to call out using Internet. Refer to page 12 for detail.
Note:
When G1681 ATA is powered off or Internet is disconnected, the
calls will be sent through the LINE port to the PSTN network.
Making Peer to Peer Calls by Dialing IP Address
Without subscription to any VoIP service (“use service” is unchecked in the
Protocol Settings
section), the ATA can communicate with other ATA/IP
phone or terminal (such as Microsoft Netmeeting 3.01) with public IP address
