SPA Designs new MicroDash data logging system builds on the success of its dash systems with many advanced
logging features as standard.
The new logging system adds the following data logging features-
12 channel logging.
4 dedicated digital inputs: Speed, Rpm, Lateral G force, Longitudinal G force
8 general-purpose analogue inputs: EG Pressures, temperatures, throttle position, steering position
4MB Logging memory.
43 minutes logging for 8 channels at 100Hz
High-speed logging.
All 12 channels can be logged simultaneous at 500Hz, 2 channels can be logged at
3 KHz. Dual speed logging allows channels to be logged at low or high speeds, Low speed logging
down to seconds or minutes.
Hot download.
Just plug the PC into the dash display socket to download data, or to reconfigure the
logger
Windows 98 logger wizard setup.
Easy step by step setup of the logger for your needs
Track mapping.
Standard kit includes a dual axis digital G force sensor. Data from lateral G force
channels can then create a track map on the PC
Windows 98 Analysis
Track mapping, Lateral G force data is used to create a track map and allow the
user to name the various sections and then store the track. These maps can easily be edited by click and
drag with the mouse. Track map position is linked to all graph and data views for easy coordination.
Step by step graph setup wizards give you the graph you want from the data easily. Graph views for
X/Y data, lap overlay, split overlay and bar graphs. These can be combined on a single x-axis or stacked
separately. Tabular data view of all data logged.
General MicroDash overview and features :-
The SPA MicroDash is a small steering wheel or bulkhead mounted display that connects to a control (CPU) box
via a flexible coiled lead. Two small steering wheel mounted switches connect to the display to provide display
scrolling and menu functions.
The dash comes complete with sensors for speed, pressure, temperature, and lap times (system 2) and can be
configured for all types of analog sensors and is fully customizable. The MicroDash logger contains 4Mb
memory for data logging.
Here are some features of the MicroDash system:-
8 analog channels (9 including brake bias) for pressures, temperatures etc.
Easy to read compact LCD display with variable brightness backlight.
3-stage high brightness shift lamp ‘tree’ built in to display (blue, green, red).
Display shows, RPM, speed, odometer mileage/lap times, analog channels EG pressure, temp.
