Vent system must terminate to the outside (roof or side
wall).
• DO NOT terminate the vent system in an attic or other
enclosed area.
• DO NOT use 4” (10.2 cm) laundry-type wall caps.
• Use metal/aluminum vent only. Rigid metal/
aluminum vent is recommended.
• DO NOT use plastic vent.
• Always keep the duct clean to ensure proper airflow.
Installation without ducting
When installing the hood without ducting, please
ensure that a charcoal filter is fitted in the top air
vent .

When you are using a single motor, it is normal that
the ripple effect will cause the other fan to move.

The function of the activated charcoal filter is to
remove oil and soot result from cooking. However,
Oil and Soot will not be completely eliminated, as
this will cause the performance of the hood to
reduce significantly. (Please refer to Pt. A
above)
For the most efficient & quiet operation: Range hood
• A distance of 27” to 30” is recommended* between stove
top and the bottom of range hood.
• It is recommended that the range hood be vented vertically through the roof
through 6” or bigger round metal/aluminum vent work.
• The size of the vent should be uniform, Use no more than three 90° elbows
