- Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if

14. Disconnect tools
- When not in use, before servicing and when chang-
ing accessories, disconnect tools from the power
supply.
15. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches
- Form the habit of checking to see that keys and ad-
justing wrenches are removed from the tool before
turning it on.
16. Avoid unintentional starting
- Ensure switch is in “off’ position when plugging in.
17. Use outdoor extension leads
- When the tool is used outdoors, use only extension
cords intended for outdoor use and so marked.
18. Stay alert
- Watch what you are doing, use common sense and
do not operate the tool when you are tired.
19. Check damaged parts
- Before further use of tool, it should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly
and perform its intended function.
- Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any
other conditions that may affect its operation.
- A guard or other part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorized
service centre unless otherwise indicated in, this
instruction manual.
- Have defective switches replaced by an authorized
service centre.
- Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on
and off.

21. Have your tool repaired by a qualified person
- This electric tool complies with the relevant safety
rules. Repairs should only be carried out by quali-
fied persons using original spare parts; otherwise
this may result in considerable danger to the user.
IV - Bench grinder safety
warnings
WARNING:
Before connecting a tool to a
power source ensure that the voltage supply is the
same as the one specified on the nameplate of the
tool.
▪ A power source with a voltage greater than that speci-
fied for the tool can result in serious injury to the user,
as well as damage to the tool.
▪ If in doubt, do not plug in the tool.
▪ Using a power source with a voltage less than the
nameplate rating is harmful to the motor.
WARNING:
Always switch off and unplug the
power tool prior to any adjustment, servicing or main-
tenance.
▪ During operation provide eye protection to prevent
eyes from exposure to flying particles. Wear goggles.
▪ Wear hearing protection during continuous operation.
Intense noise loading during operation may damage
the operator’s hearing.
▪ Take protective measures against inhalation of dust.
Some materials can contain toxic ingredients. Wear a
dust mask and work with dust extraction. You must be
aware of the harmful influence of dust, the toxicity of
dust from certain materials.
▪ When processing metal parts sparks are produced.
Never store inflammable materials close to the ma-
chine to prevent fire. We recommend wearing a
leather apron.
▪ During continuous operation the outer metal parts
and the accessories get hot. Do not touch the grind-
ing wheels during operation and immediately after
that; they may be extremely hot. You may get serious
burns.
▪ Beware your hands from rotating parts.
WARNING:
The grinding wheels continue to
rotate even after the machine has been switched off.
▪ Protect the wheels from hits, shocks and contact with
oil.
▪ Never use cracked, injured or deformed wheels.
▪ Always allow a new wheel to run for a few minutes at
full speed before using it. Stand to one side at start up.
▪ Check that the wheel rotates freely each time before
start up.
▪ Always turn the grinder off when it is not in use and
never leave it unattended without first switching off
and removing the power plug. Never leave the grinder
until the grinding wheels have come to a complete
stop.
▪ Make sure that the wheel is not in contact with the
work when you start the grinder.
▪ Do not operate the bench grinder unless the wheel
guards and the tool rests are properly fitted and se-
cured.
▪ Do not operate the bench grinder unless the eye
shields are dropped down.
▪ The tool must be used only for its prescribed purpose.
Any use other than those mentioned in this Manual
will be considered a case of misuse. The user and not
the manufacturer shall be liable for any damage or in-
jury resulting from such cases of misuse.
▪ To use this tool properly, you must observe the safety
regulations, the assembly instructions and the operat-
ing instructions found in this Manual. All persons who
use and service the machine have to be acquainted
with this Manual and must be informed about its po-
tential hazards. Children and frail people must not use
this tool. Children should be supervised at all times if
