TRIAS L
In general, a distance to the wall of at least 50 mm must be main-
tained. For safety reasons and for the purposes of fire protection,
larger clearance distances must be ensured for walls needing pro-
tection or for combustible construction materials.
A minimum distance of 130 mm (Fig. 7a) is to be maintained be-
tween construction materials, furniture, decoration or curtains to
the rear of the stove. If wall coverings made out of combustible
materials and without thermal radiation protection have been fitted,
the clearance distance to the rear is to be increased from 130 mm
to 210 mm. No combustible objects may be placed within a dis-
tance of 500 mm above the fireplace!
No combustible construction components, furniture, curtains or
decoration may be placed within a distance of 800 mm of the fire-
box door in the thermal radiation field (Fig. 7a – 7b). This distance
can be reduced to 400 mm when a thermal radiation protection
plate ventilated on both sides is installed between the fireplace and
the combustible elements.
If installed in the corner of a room, the TRIAS L may not be rotat-
able. If the stove is assembled as shown in figure 7b, a minimum
clearance distance of 100 mm is to be maintained at the sides. If
the stove is assembled as shown in figure 7c, a minimum clearance
distance to the rear of 130 mm and to the side of 100 mm must
be maintained. If wall coverings made out of combustible materi-
als and without thermal radiation protection have been fitted, the
clearance distance to the side is to be increased from 100 mm to
240 mm.
FOR FLOOR COVERINGS NEAR TO THE STOVE:
Floor coverings made out of combustible materials in front of the
firebox opening of your TRIAS L are to be protected with a separate
covering made out of non-combustible construction materials. The
covering must extend at the front by at least 500 mm and at each
side by at least 300 mm (measured from the firebox opening or the
glass panel)!
As the stove is always equipped with the rotary function, the clear-
ance distance in the thermal radiation field and the protected floor
covering area in front of the firebox opening must be guaranteed
in every possible rotation position. In addition, the flue pipes must
be fitted in such a way that no negative influences are placed on
the fixing of the stove. The exhaust gas pipe may not rotate with
the stove.
The minimum clearance distances to combustible construction ma-
terials and furniture are provided on the stove type plate and the
clearance distances may not fall below these levels.
Wallpaper as a wall covering are not classed as combustible con-
struction materials according to DIN 4102-1.
Observe the minimum clearance distance from the chimney flue
pipes to the combustible construction materials (see 2.2.5 Flue
pipes).
