3.7.1.2 QUADRA INSIDE II SL
• The minimum width of combustion chamber measures 1260 mm.
• The height of the fireplace insert measures at least 350 mm.
• The depth of the fireplace insert is defined as 400 mm.
• The distance from front edge of combustion chamber to housing frame
is defined as 50 mm.
• The cutaway in the combustion chamber base (support panel of the
Quadra Inside II) measures 1188 x 223 mm.
• The minimum distance between housing and housing area base meas-
ures 70 mm.
• The minimum width of housing area measures 1260 mm.
• The minimum depth of housing area measures 360 mm.
• The minimum free cross section for the additional air aperture in
the housing area measures 400 cm².
• The combustion chamber is made of vermiculite slabs or ob calcium
silicate slabs with a material thickness of at least 40 mm. These materi-
als must be approved by the German Institute of Building Technology in
Berlin (DIBt), i.e. must hold verification of suitability for use as housing
area linings.
• The thermal insulation to be used comprises mats, slabs or pipe sections
of silica-based insulation material (stone or slag and ceramic fibres) of
material class A1 as per DIN 4102, part 1 with an upper application
limit temperature of at least 700°C when measured as per DIN 52271
and a rated gross density of 80 kg/m³. When using insulating materials
of this type, ensure they are provided with an AGI-Q 132 code number
(the reference to thickness of thermal insulation (Fig. 29) refers to the
mineral wool, as defined in AGI Q 132).
• Ensure that additional air can flow into the housing area without obstruc-
tion. Free minimum cross section for additional air measures 400 cm².
To this end, appropriate inlet apertures must be provided.
• The Quadra Inside II must be bolted to the support panel using 6 appro-
priate screws.
