DESIGNED USE
Spasciani H 900 A2B2E2K2P3 and H 900 A2B2E2K2HgP3 escape respirators are designed for use in sudden leaks from
industrial plants, due to accidents or other reasons, of toxic substances for the respiratory tract. These substances may be
organic or inorganic gas and vapours, sulphur dioxide, hydrochloric acid and other acid gases, ammonia and its derivates,
and dust, smoke and mist. The masks are suitable for a leak lasting certified 15 minutes and can only be used once. The
hood has also been tested in accordance with the EN 403 standard and therefore has a very high degree of protection; it is
class M, which means it can be worn in by people during the work shift or stored in the workplace.
Filter performance
The H 900 hood is equipped with high-capacity filters, the performance of which far exceeds the duration of 15
minutes. They are certified EN 14387:2004/A1:2008 as combined filters with class 2 gas protection and class P3 particle
protection and two models are available:

Test 2: Max Penetration till 120 mg aerosol exposition
Test 3: Penetration (media calculated 30 sec after the test beginning) after 120 mg aerosol exposition and 24h storage
The performance of the combined filters far exceeds the duration of 15 minutes required for escape filtering devices
(see DIN 58647-7) at a double test concentration (5000 ppm used for class 2 against the 2500 ppm required by DIN
58647- 7). This means that the filter guarantees a duration of more than 15 minutes even in the case of environments
with high concentrations of pollutants.
As Atex devices, it bears the marking shown below and can be used in the described fields:
II 1G Ex h IIC T6 Ga
→
Non-electrical devices for use in the surface industry, where there is the
possibility that explosive atmospheres due to the presence of gas occur - Zone 0

LIMITATIONS TO USE
-
Only use if the surrounding air has an oxygen volume content between 17 and 21% (or as specified in current national laws).
-
Do not use the device to evacuate silos or confined spaces generally or for rescue operations.
