HDMI Switch 3x1 with audio extractor
Item no. 1360279
Intended use
The product provides three HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. You can toggle between the three inputs via a
button on the switch or via the IR remote control enclosed. One of the inputs is MHL compatible.
Furthermore, it is possible to uncouple an audio signal from an HDMI-compatible signal. The audio signal is
then available through a stereo cinch output or an optical digital output. The HDMI switch also supports the
ARC audio signal (ARC = Audio Return Channel).
The unit can be operated via the buttons on the HDMI switch or via an IR remote control enclosed.
An external power adapter enclosed is used to supply power to the HDMI switch. The IR remote control is
operated via a battery of type “CR2032” (included).
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions.

a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not permitted for safety and approval
reasons (CE). Do not disassemble the product.
• Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an expert.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could become a dangerous plaything for
children.
b) Power adapter
• The design of the power adapter complies with Protection Class II. Use only a standard mains socket as
the power source for the power adapter.
• The mains socket into which the power adapter is plugged must be easily accessible.
• Use only the power adapter supplied to power the switch.
• Do not pull the power adapter from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Hold it on the sides of the
casing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• Never touch a power adapter that shows signs of damage, as this could cause a fatal electric shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the power adapter is connected (switch off at the
corresponding circuit breaker or remove the safety fuse or switch off at the corresponding RCD protective
switch, so that the socket is fully disconnected).
You can then unplug the power adapter from the mains socket. Dispose of the faulty power adapter in an
environmentally friendly way, do not use it any more. Replace it with a power adapter of the same design.
c) Operation
• The product is not a toy. Devices operated on mains voltage should not be used by children. Therefore, be
especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is intended for use only in dry, indoor locations. No part of the product should become damp
or wet; never handle it if your hands are wet!
Power adapters pose the potential risk of a fatal electric shock!
• Avoid the following adverse conditions at the location of installation and during transport:
- Dampness or excessive humidity
- Extreme cold or heat, direct sunlight
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations, impacts or blows

Version 07/15
• Do not place objects on the switch; never cover the switch.
• Choose a stable, even, flat and sufficiently large surface for the installation.
• Never use the product immediately after moving it from a cold room into a warm one. The condensation
that forms might damage the product. A power adapter also carries the risk of a potentially fatal electric
shock!
Allow the product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it into
use. This may potentially take several hours.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cables are neither kinked nor pinched.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impacts, blows or falls even from a low height.
Notes on batteries
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk they may be swallowed by children or pets.
If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. You should there-
fore wear suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from batteries are very chemically aggressive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with
these liquids could be considerably damaged. Batteries must therefore be stored in a suitable location.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
