Press and hold Num while entering the desired number using the numerical keys. The numbers are entered
from right to left.
5. Press Modify to accept the value. This leaves the setting mode; the jog shuttle and numerical keys are inactive.
3.5.11 DS 100 mode
DS 100 mode is for remote operation if you are using an IEEE-488 connection and a Leybold Data System 100 (DS 100)
or comparable. In this configuration, you should set the DS 100 parameter to "1". For all other applications, you can
leave it at "0", the default value.
To set the DS 100 mode:
1. Press and hold Num, then press Operate to set the unit into Off mode.
2. Press the Setup button repeatedly until the display shows DS100 mode.

3. Press the Modify button. The LED above the Modify button will light and flashing triangles will appear below the
parameter value.
4. Enter a new value using one of the following methods:

3.5.12 Remote Mode
Remote mode allows you to set the status of the TTL HV On/ Off connector on the rear panel. There are three settings:

HV Off—the connector is inactive, and the PU IQE 12/38 will operate with no connection.
■
HV On—the status of the HV is controlled by a BNC cable connected to the rear panel. The PU IQE 12/38 will oper-
ate in the following way:
■
High voltage is switched on if 5 V is applied.
■
High voltage is switched off if 0 V is applied.
■
Interlock—the BNC socket acts as an interlock switch:
■
Open—HV and filament are switched off.
■
Closed—HV and filament can be switched on.
To set the Remote mode:
1. Press and hold Num, then press Operate to set the unit into Off mode.
2. Press the Setup button repeatedly until the display shows Remote Mode.
