GPS SIGNAL STATUS
The GPS Signal Strength command,
GSS
, provides an indication of receiver operation
and quality of the received GPS signal. This command is useful in verifying proper
antenna placement and receiver performance during installation.
The
GSS
response provides overall tracking status, position solution and a table
containing individual satellite data.
Issue the
GSS
command as shown below:

Where:

= Number of satellites currently tracking; 0…8.
Typically the window antenna tracks two to three
satellites. The NetClock/GTP requires only one
satellite to provide accurate and traceable time.
