Technical Information
The SpeechVive is worn over the ear and contains an
accelerometer that detects when the user speaks. Upon
exceeding a threshold value, indicating that the user is
speaking, the SpeechVive plays background audio that
automatically improves the user's speech. The SpeechVive
does not play the background audio when the user is not
speaking. The SpeechVive accelerometer sensitivity
settings are programmed by the user's SpeechVive-trained
specialist.
The SpeechVive charging station is externally
powered from 100-240 Vac, 50/60 Hz, 150 mA max
AC Mains power source. The charging station
output is rated at 5.1 Vdc and 500 mA Max.
The SpeechVive is powered by an internal 3.7 Vdc
Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery. Your battery
may need to be replaced in the future. Please
contact SpeechVive, Inc. to arrange this service.
The SpeechVive should be stored or transported in
a safe, dry environment. When the device is not in
use, it should be kept in the charging station.
