HORN BUTTON
The horn button will provide a
“beep”
sound
while depressed.
SPEED /CRAWL LED INDICATOR
The speed/crawl indicator displays maximum
speed and crawl mode indication for the ZX-1.
There are five speed settings: 1 illuminated
LED is the lowest speed, and 5 illuminated
LEDs is the highest speed. This gauge also
indicates if ZX-1 speed is being limited or if
control system is locked.
SPEED DECREASE BUTTON
The speed decrease button decreases
maximum speed setting.
SPEED INCREASE BUTTON
The speed increase button increases maximum
speed setting.
Pressing either mode select button will place
ZX-1 into actuator adjustment mode or drive
mode. ZX-1 is in actuator adjustment mode
when mode select indicator is illuminated
(Figure 3). Clamshell/actuator adjustment can
be opened/closed by deflecting joystick
forward or aft. To re-enter drive mode, press
either mode select button and joystick
becomes the operator control stick.
NOTE
•
Once in actuator adjustment mode and
clamshell/actuator completely closes
around wheelchair camber tube, only allow
aft wheelchair wheels to slightly raise off
the ground. Failure to comply will cause
ZX-1 to operate in crawl mode.
PROGRAMING/CHARGER PORT
WARNING
New operators must operate ZX-1 on lowest
speed setting (1 or 2 LEDs illuminated).
Failure to comply could result injury to
operator or damage to equipment.
MODE SELECT BUTTONS AND LEDS

After depressing either mode select button,
mode select indicator will illuminate indicat-
ing ZX-1 is in engagement mode.
The programming/charging port provides an
interface for the battery charger. The charging
port is found on forward lower section of
joystick control module (Figure 2).
