PX3-QSFP-DD-8 and DX3-QSFP-DD-8

Quick Reference Guide

About the Spirent PX3/DX3-QSFP-DD-8 Appliance

The Spirent PX3-QSFP-DD-8 and DX3-QSFP-DD-8

offer the power of Spirent’s award-winning

router, switch, application, and security test solutions in a low profile 1U form factor.

Note

: This document applies to both the PX3-QSFP-DD-8 and DX3-QSFP-DD-8 appliances. The

term PX3/DX3-QSFP-DD-8 will be used throughout.

Getting Started

PX3/DX3-QSFP-DD-8 is operated with specialized software designed to help you create and
analyze realistic traffic for determining the operating characteristics of a device, system, or
network under test. Due to the powerful traffic generating capabilities of PX3/DX3-QSFP-DD-8,
precautions should be taken when connecting the test ports to an operational network. On an
operational network, such large amounts of traffic can cause network congestion leading to
unexpected results; for example, packet retransmits or drops.
