Cable Tie Installation Tool Instruction Sheet

Assembly

Connect the 1/8” NPT to an air supply between 80 and 90 PSI.  

Cylinder life can be lengthened by using a commercial air line mist lubricator.

Lubrication

The MK9P tool is pre-lubricated and sealed at the factory for an extensive
maintenance - free life.

Tool Maintenance

The MK9P tool has been designed to require no maintenance by the operator.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Probable Cause

Solution

Tool will not operate.

Will not cut cable tie.

Cable tie is breaking 
when applied.

Tool rod won’t return

to forward position.

Poor cutting action.

Check air supply connection to be sure tool is
receiving air.

Check air supply regulator for proper
adjustment.Increase pressure if necessary.

Release trigger and squeeze again.

Install Blade.

Check the 2 selector knobs for proper setting for
cable tie being applied.

Depress and hold trigger while removing materials
from nose area.

Replace blade 

(See page 3).

Re-install blade.

No air pressure.

Low air pressure.

Tool has reached
end of stroke.

Blade missing.

Tension setting too high.

Material wedged in
nose area.

Dull or damaged Blade.

Blade installed 
backwards.
