Massage is one of the oldest methods of treatment and an important part
of physiotherapy. The mechanical treatment of the outer tissues of the body
relaxes tense muscles, improves blood circulation and supports the regener-
ation of tissues. Massage is stimulating, relaxing and helps to eliminate pain of
the nerves and muscles.
Massage may also positively effect the vascular system, the inner organs and
metabolism.
There are five classic methods of massage: stroke massage, kneading, tapping
and vibrating massage as well as rubbing and slapping.
Furthermore, there are other important massage techniques such as manual
lymphatic drainage, reflexology, underwater pressure massage, brush massage
and finger pressure massage techniques (shiatsu, acupressure).
This specialized massager is based on the principle of tapping massage.
Both massage heads, applied to the body part to be massaged, are moving
intermittently with a frequency of 2000
