The Sport-Thieme sling trainer: questions and answers

What are the product’s features?

The system can be attached at the individual contact points. The belts can be attached to branches, beams, door
frames, handrails or other stable overhead constructions. The foam handles are very comfortable to grip which
prevents nerve damage. With this system, it is also easy to train each side of the body separately. It is easy to carry out
movements with one arm or one leg.

Can I attach the system to my door?

Yes. Open the door and guide the anchoring over the door. Before you use the system, close the door towards you and
ensure that the latch has snapped into the lock and the door sits properly in the frame. Tell people that you are about to
begin training and that the door must not be opened.

Why are these belts so well suited to improve muscle size and strength?

Because of the swing effect. The belts tend to move during training. Because of this, your stabilising muscles have to
work harder. This is key for the development of maximum core muscle strength and size.

You mentioned core muscles. What does this mean?

Core  muscles  include  the  various  muscle  groups  which  together  stabilise  the  body.  The  core  muscles’ power  and
strength rests upon the combined strength of the various muscle groups working together. A person is only as strong as
their weakest muscle. If you want to strengthen your core you must train your stabilising muscles.

Regular exercises strengthen my body, don’t they?

They do, however, training of your stabilising muscle groups is required to build up maximum strength. These muscles
groups can simply not be strengthened if they are not destabilised.

Are the belts intended solely for particularly fit people?

No, they are equally suitable for beginners and advanced athletes. The resistance can be adjusted from ‘easy’ to
‘hard’. This training system can be used by tall and short people, men, women and children. It is even excellently suited
to medical rehabilitation. Change the angle between body and belts to increase or lower the weight.
