2.4 HRC (Heart rate controlled) program
Here, you can set a target heart rate for your training. The computer will automatically create a training
program which includes a warm-up and a cool-down phase. During the actual work-out, the computer will
constantly adjust the intensity level to your desired heart rate.
Selecting the HRC mode and entering the HRC training parameters
• Make sure the main menu is shown. If necessary, press the 'Home' button.
• Turn the Control knob until the 'HRC' mode is highlighted. Then press the Control knob to select it.
• A menu window with the important
parameters for HRC training is shown.
• Turn the Control knob until the 'User
age' parameter is highlighted. Then
press the Control knob to select it.
• Turn the Control knob until your age is shown. Press the Control knob again to enter this value. => The
computer automatically inserts your recommended Maximum pulse in the 'User Heart' field. Increase the
'User heart' maximum pulse value only if necessary!
• Turn the Control knob until 'Intensity 1' is highlighted. Then press the Control knob to select this parameter.
Select an intensity value according to your personal daily and general fitness. => The computer
automatically calculates your Target pulse in the 'Target heart' field.
NOTE! A too high intensity can have severe negative consequences!
NEVER overexert yourself or others! Increase 'Intensity' or 'Target Heart' pulse value only if it is
safe to do so!
• Turn the Control knob until 'Target time' is highlighted. Then press the Control knob to select this parameter.
• Turn the Control knob until your desired training duration is shown. Press the Control knob to set it.
Perfoming the HRC training
• Start your training with the START button.
• The computer will begin your training with a warm-up phase with slowly rising intensity. After the warm-up,
the computer automatically adjusts the intensity level according to your set target pulse. Two minutes before
the end of the set training time, the computer starts the cool-down phase and lowers the intensity.
• When the time is elapsed, the intensity is reset.
