Wheel O-Rings
The wheels on the Tailwhip come molded with two grooves that o-rings
can be placed in for additional traction . Our testing has shown that a single
o-ring on the inside of each wheel provides the most realistic drift car feel on
most surfaces . However on some slick surfaces such as polished concrete
the addition of an outer o-ring allows for more car control .
Wheel LED Lights
The Tailwhip wheels are equipped with centrifugally activated lights . As you
gain speed, the lights will illuminate .
Periodically you will need to replace the batteries in each wheel . Loosen the
3mm flanged wheel nut and remove the tires . Next remove the two Phillips
head screws on the inside of the wheel that hold the LED rotor in place . With
a small flat blade screwdriver, gently push the battery to the outer edge .
Install the new batteries with the + (flat) side of the battery facing up or in
the inside of the chassis when the wheel is installed . Re-insert the rotor with
the LED aligned to the open slot in the wheel . Re-tighten the Phillips head
screws and wheel nut .
Street Racing Your Drift Car
The Tailwhip can also be converted for street or carpet racing . To do so, you
will just need to change the wheels and tires .

Steering Rate
Your Transmitter is equipped with a steering-rate control on the top of the
radio just above the steering wheel . This advanced feature, usually found
only on competition-type radios, allows you to adjust the amount the front
tires move when you turn the steering wheel . This is helpful when you are
on slick, as well as high traction, surfaces . If your Tailwhip turns too sharply
and/or spins out easily, try turning the steering rate down by rotating the
knob counterclockwise (to the left) . For sharper or additional steering, try
turning the knob clockwise (to the right) .
