Danger!
Never use the appliance if you discover damage, if water has penetrated the housing or if the appli-
ance has been dropped. If you notice damage to the appliance during use, unplug it from the power
supply immediately.
Caution!
Do not use the PizzaRaclette6 in unprotected outdoor areas. Water and moisture can cause malfunctions
and pose a danger of electric shock.
5.1.
Where and where not to set it up
• Set up the PizzaRaclette6 in a place where it is stable and horizontal, out of the reach of children.
• Do not set up the PizzaRaclette6 next to or on hot surfaces (heaters, burners or other sources of heat).
This presents a danger of fire or short circuit!
• Set up the PizzaRaclette6 only on heat-proof surfaces. Keep a safe distance from flammable materials such as
napkins, tablecloths, overhead cabinets, etc.
• Make sure that the power cord and / or any extension cord used
• are not routed over hot surfaces, such as stove tops,
• are not routed over sharp edges,
• are not pinched or kinked.
Otherwise, there is a danger of fire or short circuit.
• Also make sure that the power cord and / or any extension cord used are routed to the appliance so that no one
can trip over them or accidentally get caught or pull down the appliance.
5.2.
Before the first use
• Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.
• Remove all packaging materials and make sure that all parts are present as specified in Chapter 8 «Scope of
delivery» and in proper condition.
• Wipe the housing with a moist rag and dry afterwards thoroughly. Heat the empty device for approx. 10 minutes;
the slight smoke and odor that will probably be produced is completely harmless. This is only protective oil,
which was applied during production. Ensure good ventilation of the room during this period!
• Clean the aluminium grill plate, the pans and the pizza paddles before using them the first time, using a non-
abrasive sponge and running warm water with a little dishwashing liquid.
