6.1.2. Raclette
1. Switch on the bottom heat and turn the temperature control to a middle setting.
2. After pre-heating for a few minutes the appliance is ready for use.
3. Apply a thin coat of oil or butter to the pans, and also the grill plate, if applicable.
4. You can fry prepared meat, fish or vegetable chunks on the grill plate.
5. Put the desired ingredients in the pans and place the pans in the pizza / raclette level. We recommend that you
do not overfill the pans:
• Foods could fall out, making it difficult to clean the appliance later.
• Foods could come into contact with the heating spiral and burn.
• The cooking time will be longer.
6. Remove the pans as soon as the ingredients are done cooking. To prevent the coating from being scratched,
use the included pizza paddles to remove the cooked food from the pans.
Enjoy!
6.1.3. Classic raclette (with top heat only)
1. Switch off the bottom heat.
2. There is room on the top level of the appliance for three pans with top heat only for classic raclette.
3. The grill plate functions the same as described above. The two lower levels serve as storage levels for empty
pans.
4. Set the temperature with the temperature control – you can set it somewhat higher at first, then reduce it after-
wards.
6.2. Tips and tricks
• Do not heat empty pans in the appliance and do not leave the pans in the hot appliance after use; this could dam-
age the non-stick coating of the pans and food remaining in the pans could burn and stick to the pans, making it
hard to remove.
• The pans, the pizza paddles and the grill plate can be cleaned in the dishwasher. For the pans and grill plate,
however, we recommend gentle cleaning by hand under warm running water with a little dishwashing liquid, in
order to prolong the life of the coating.
• Grill plate: The grill plate is ideal for cooking everything from tender meat to fish and vegetables.
• Cut meat or fish into bite-sized pieces. They will cook faster.
• Brush the meat or firm fish lightly with oil before placing it on the grill plate. Or you can marinate it before cooking.
• Do not put too many toppings on the mini-pizzas. The pizza may not be baked through. Alternatively, you can
spread the dough only with tomato paste or a ready-to-use tomato sauce.
• Never prepare the tomato sauce in the pan.
• The PizzaRaclette also works with ready-made dough from the refrigerated section.
