Application
The fingerprint functional unit is an
access control system which is used
both in standalone operation (inde
‑
pendent unit) and also in the Siedle
Vario bus. In this system, a scanned‑
in fingerprint is used to actuate a
function.
Electrical voltage
Mounting, installation and servicing
work on electrical devices may only
be performed by a suitably qualified
electrician.
Servicing
More detailed information on
module changing is provided in
the Classic door station installation
instructions.
Range
The range between the transformer
and FPM 611‑… is limited to 130 m
with 0.8 mm core diameter.
Conductor material
Telecommunication cables must be
used for installation on the bus side
J‑Y(St)Y
Twisted‑pair conduc‑
tors, shielded, 0.8 mm

Conductor routing
In order to comply with the general
safety regulations for telecom‑
munication systems in accordance
with VDE 0100 and VDE 0800, and
to prevent electrical interference,
ensure separate routing of heavy
and light current conductors. A dis
‑
tance of 10 cm must be adhered to.

Bus operation
In bus operation, fingerprints are
scanned and deleted using the pro
‑
gramming interface PRI 602‑…, pro‑
gramming software PRS 602‑… and
an IBM compatible PC. Operation
and the procedures for this are
described in the programming
instructions for the EC 602‑…
Which types of fingerprints exist
and what can they do?
Any one finger can only be scanned
in for one fingerprint type (adminis‑
trator, group administrator, master,
group master or user).
Administrator fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in max.
5 master fingerprints. (Only one
administrator fingerprint can be
scanned in).
Group administrator fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in max. 5
group master fingerprints. (Only one
group administrator fingerprint can
be scanned in)
Master fingerprint
Issues entitlement to scan in max.
100 user fingerprints.
Group master fingerprint
(max. 5 possible)
Issues entitlement to scan in/delete
up to max. 100 user fingerprints
which can be distributed over
5 groups (added up over all the
groups). Every group master fin‑
gerprint only has entitlement for its
own group.
User fingerprint
Entitled to actuate the function (e.g.
door release). Only user fingerprints
can actuate this switching function.
To ensure that you have a record
later on of the different entitle
‑
ments, we advise noting down the
fingerprints and the people they
belong to in the attached fingerprint
table.
Before filling in, make a copy of the
fingerprint table.
