subsequent set-up at the router and
at the
gateway.
Remarks:
•
Always issue lengthy
secure pass-
words (in
cluding upper and lo
wer
case letters, nu
mbers and symbols).
• After a forced disconnection, it can
take some minutes until the synchro-
nizati
on with the DynDNS a
ccess is
complete.
Change the Gateway configu
-
ration
To allow the mobile phone net
-
work c
onnection to be set up, the
“Port config
uration” and “External
network access” a
reas must be
fully c
onfigured. Depending
on the
services already operated by the cus-
tomer, it is possible that the standard
settings will have to be changed.
Important:
When using the mobile phone
n
etwork, the SG must
be operated
using a static IP address in the local
network (not DHCP operation).
Procedure:
Log in to the Gateway.
1
Change to the “Basic settings >
Network” menu.
2
In the area “IP settings”, disable
the option “Automatically purchase
IP add
ress through DHCP”.
3
In the “IP address” field,
enter the required static local IP
address
for the Gateway (e.g.
192.168.178.222).
This IP address
is
specified by the network admin
-
istrator.
4
Check the existing entries in the
fiel
ds “subnet mask”, “g
ateway”
and “DNS server”, and correct or
complete them. All network data
is made available by the ne
twork
administrator.
These entries refer to
the router in th
e customer network.
5
Change to the area “External net-
work access”.
6
Tick the box “Activate external
network access”.
7
In the field “Dynami
c DNS
Domain” enter either the static
Mobile network connec-
tion
public IP address or the full DynDNS
domain name assigned by the
DynDNS provider.
8
In the field “STUN serv
er”, enter
the domain name of the Siedle STUN
Server service
“stun.siedle.com”.
9
In the field “STUN serv
er port”
enter the d
efault port “3478”.
10
In the field “External SIP por
t
(TCP)” enter the d
efault port
“5070”.
11
Change to the area “Po
rt config
-
uration”. This area is preconfi
gured
with the defau
lt values recom-
mende
d by Siedle.
Note:
Only change the values specified
here if this is urgently necessary
(e.g. collision of the port values with
non-changeable existing services of
the cust
omer).
Important:
If you change the “control port
(TCP)”, when registering
all IP cli-
ents (Sied
le app and bus softw
are
in-house telepho
ne) you must also
specify the changed po
rt (e.g. 9999)
when
logging into the IP address
field (e.g. 192.168.178.222:9999).
Otherwise you wil
l not get a con-
necti
on. The change of ot
her ports
is communi
cated on first regis
tration
of IP client
s from the Gateway.
12
Check all inputs and existing
entries for corre
ctness once again.
13
Click on “Apply” to save your
chan
ges in the system.
Change the router configuration
As standard, the Firewall protec
ts
the router from all incoming
external enquiries from inte
rnet. To
enable external access to the Smart
Gateway over th
e router, externally
incoming enquiries must be for-
warded to different ports wit
h the
aid of port fo
rwarding to the loca
l IP
address of the
Smart Gateway. This
port forwarding func
tion is set up
in the router located at the internet
connect
ion.
If the internet connection does not
have a static IP address, the DynDNS
